"The Sea Takes No Prisoners: Stories from the Men & Ships of the Royal Navy in the Second World War" by Edmund S. Wong

This site features selected excerpts from Edmund (Ed) S. Wong's book, "The Sea Takes No Prisoners: Stories from the Men & Ships of the Royal Navy in the Second World War." The original title of the manuscript and of this site was "Stories Left Behind." Over 125 veterans of Britain's 1939 – 1945 war at sea share first hand accounts of their time aboard HM ships. They served in minesweepers and battleships, in major oceans and in unknown backwaters. These veterans share their exploits from all of the Royal Navy's wartime battles and campaigns . The book and this site are dedicated to all of those who once gave so much that we might today live so well. Some of Ed's miniature warship models have been included among the book's extensive and comprehensive set of illustrations. Thank you for visiting!
